Porcelain Inlays Porcelain inlays are a wonderful alternative to crowns.  Much of the patients natural tooth is preserved.  Only the decay and or old filling is removed and a porcelain casting is made to fill the space in the tooth.  The result is an extremely conservative and comfortable natural looking restoration. Crowns Crowns or "caps" are tooth-like coverages placed over a carefully prepared existing tooth.  They are custom made for you and are used to strengthen, restore or improve the appearance of natural teeth.  A crown is placed over a tooth much the same as a thimble is placed over your finger. There are many types of crowns.  During your initial exam, Dr. Bambara will discuss which types are best for you.

Bridges Bridges, like crowns, are tooth-like coverings placed over carefully prepared existing teeth and are used to replace missing teeth.  When a tooth is lost, it is necessary to fill the space with a false tooth that is attached the bridge. The loss of a single tooth can cause the bite to shift and collapse which results in a very destructive pattern leading to future tooth loss.
